Our History

The Leander Professional Firefighters Association, Local 4298, was formed in 2003 with a mission to promote, establish, and ensure a progressive and safe work environment. The Local 4298 was developed when Leander had only six full-time firefighters. Today, Leander Fire Department has close to 60 full-time firefighters with nearly 75% enrollment as members of the Local 4298.
